James Baxendale

James Baxendale has extensive experience in the field of informatics and software engineering. Currently serving as VP of Enterprise Informatics at Schrodinger Inc since December 2010, James is a key contributor to the development and deployment of enterprise product offerings, including LiveDesign and Seurat. Prior to this role, James founded Synaptic Science LLC in March 2006 and served as President and CTO, overseeing the development and marketing of the Seurat platform and managing its acquisition by Schrodinger. James also held the position of Senior Software Engineer at Celera Genomics from April 2000 to March 2006, contributing to the Seurat platform and managing a team focused on mass spectrometry analysis. Earlier in James's career, experience as a Software Engineer at BHP Information Technology included designing core components for a telecommunications interception system.
