Katherine Bay

Katherine Bay is an accomplished scientist with extensive experience in organic chemistry and academic curriculum design. Currently serving as a Senior Scientist II at Schrödinger since July 2021, Katherine has previously held academic roles, including Assistant Professor of Organic Chemistry at the University of La Verne from July 2020 to June 2021, and Graduate Research and Teaching Assistant at UCLA from September 2016 to July 2020, where Katherine obtained a PhD specializing in physical organic chemistry and conducted research in organometallic chemistry with a focus on C–H activation. Additional research experience includes a Summer Research Fellowship at the University of Cambridge in 2016 and various positions at the University of La Verne and other institutions. Katherine holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from the University of La Verne, completed in 2016.
