Dr. Klaus Kolitz

Dr. Klaus Kolitz serves as the Chief Technology Officer and Head of Software Engineering at SIXT since May 2019. Prior to this role, Dr. Kolitz was a part-time professor in Information Systems at Hochschule Düsseldorf University of Applied Sciences from March 2018 to August 2019, and held leadership positions in software development at Trivago GmbH from October 2010 to April 2019, where significant achievements included scaling the web platform and transitioning to a microservices architecture. Additional experience includes serving as a Senior Consultant at Daimler Protics GmbH and as a scientific associate at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology. Dr. Kolitz co-founded Ciao GmbH and is an alumnus of Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, holding both a doctorate and a degree in Information Management and Market Engineering, as well as a degree in Wirtschaftsingenieurwesen.
