Schuler Scholar Program
N Catalina Gomez-Vega has extensive experience in the field of education and counseling. Currently working as an Educational Counselor at the Schuler Scholar Program, N Catalina provides advising to scholars, mentors academic coaches, and leads a transitions to high school curriculum. Prior to this role, N Catalina served as a Lead Parent Educator at The Center and an Outreach Counselor at OMNI Youth Services. N Catalina also has experience in roles such as Server, Lead School Age Teacher, and Family Worker. N Catalina holds a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater.
Schuler Scholar Program
The Schuler Scholar Program equips bright, motivated youth with the support they need to gain access to and succeed at highly selective colleges and beyond. Schuler Scholars are typically first generation college-bound, are students of color, or come from low-income families. We are based in Lake Forest, Illinois with 14 partnership high schools in Chicago and the northern suburbs. Our program works with Scholars for four years in high school and continues to provide professional development and supportive services to Scholars during college and beyond.
