Stuart Axford

Stuart Axford is a partner at Schulte Roth & Zabel LLP since April 2022, previously serving as a partner at Arnold & Porter Kaye Scholer LLP from December 2012 to April 2022. Axford specializes in large and complex securitization and structured credit transactions, providing expertise to prominent investment banks, funds, and investors across various asset classes, including RMBS, CMBS, auto loans, trade receivables, supply chain finance, whole business securitizations, and CLOs, along with experience in structured credits and derivatives such as credit default swaps and repos. Prior to these roles, Axford was a partner at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer LLP from September 1991 to October 2012, and earlier held positions as senior associate and associate, beginning as an articled clerk. Axford received a law degree from Trinity College Cambridge, having attended Gravesend Grammar School.
