Nathan Thurm

Nathan Thurm possesses a diverse professional background, currently serving as a Drafter/Designer at Schumacher Elevator Company since May 2016, where the focus lies on designing and creating elevator components. In addition to this role, Nathan has been actively involved with UNI Students Today Leaders Forever, leading volunteer trips since August 2012, and contributing to UNI Colleges Against Cancer by recruiting participants for Relay For Life since August 2011. Prior experience includes general labor and fork truck driving at GMT Corporation, where Nathan utilized Syteline for inventory management, and served as a fitness instructor at the UNI Wellness Rec Center. An internship at Seneca Foundry provided hands-on experience in various foundry operations and quality control processes. Nathan holds a Bachelor of Manufacturing and Technologies with a specialization in Design and Metal Casting from the University of Northern Iowa, complemented by a high school diploma from Denver High School. Leadership skills were honed during participation in Boy Scouts of America, achieving Eagle Scout status.
