Debby Goldberg

Director, Development & Alumni Relations at Schwarzman Scholars

Debby Goldberg is the Director of Development and Alumni Relations at Schwarzman Scholars. In her fundraising role, she works closely with Founding Trustee Stephen A. Schwarzman to identify, cultivate and seek support from donors in order to build an endowment that will sustain the program in perpetuity. To date, the program has raised over $575 million dollars from a global cohort of donors. In addition to direct fundraising responsibilities, Debby created and leads the stewardship effort to engage donors in the life of the program. She also leads outreach and education efforts with Alumni to ensure they maintain their connection to China and to each other. Debby has 25 years of senior management, fundraising, and marketing experience in the not-for-profit and political sectors, focusing on institutional fundraising, organizational development, and strategic communications. Most recently, she was Vice President for Development at ProPublica, a non-profit newsroom focused on investigative reporting. Debby received her MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University and earned her undergraduate degree from Harvard College.
