Jonathan Richards

Jonathan Richards is an accomplished engineering professional with extensive experience in mechanical engineering and management. Currently serving as Engineering Manager II at Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories since August 2011, Jonathan leads a 50-person cross-functional team focused on the custom equipment and enclosures for power distribution protection and control. Previous roles include Manufacturing Development Lead Mechanical Engineer, R&D Mechanical Engineering Manager II, and R&D Mechanical Engineer, where Jonathan has successfully developed and managed projects across multiple engineering disciplines. Prior to SEL, Jonathan worked at Orbital Sciences and Preco Electronics, gaining significant expertise in electronics packaging and product design. Jonathan holds a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Idaho.
