Mirjam Weidmann

Mirjam Weidmann has extensive experience in journalism and media production, currently serving as a Redaktorin and Produzentin for SRF Club and as a Redakteurin for SRF Arena and the Bundeshausredaktion since January 2021. Prior to this role, Weidmann worked at the Universität Basel as a Hilfsassistentin in the Seminar für Nahoststudien from November 2018 to December 2020. Weidmann has also been involved in political campaigning, notably with SP Basel-Stadt as a Campaignerin for the Regierungsratsersatzwahlen 2019 and as a Mitarbeiterin im Sekretariat. Additionally, Weidmann contributed as a Campaignerin for the kantonale Prämien-Initiative with SP Baselland. Weidmann began the professional journey with an internship at Right To Play Switzerland in 2016. Educationally, Weidmann holds a Bachelor of Arts in Nahoststudien and Rechtswissenschaften from the University of Basel, earned between 2016 and 2020, and obtained a Matura in Zeichnen from Gymnasium Liestal in 2015.
