Laura Felber

Laura Felber is an experienced economist currently serving as an Advisor to the Vice-Chairman of the Governing Board at the Schweizerische Nationalbank since March 2017, with previous roles including Senior Policy and Quantitative Analyst in Banking Operations and Economist in Statistics. Laura has contributed to the Pay Magazine Advisory Board at SIX from March 2022 to January 2025 and held a position as a Visiting Research Fellow at the Bank of Canada in summer 2022. Earlier experiences include an internship at iconomix and a research assistant role in Public Economics at the University of Basel, alongside a student traineeship at Helvetia Versicherungen AG and an internship at EBM Management AG. Laura's academic background includes a PhD in Economics (Macroeconomics) from the University of Basel, a Certificate of Advanced Studies in Information Engineering from ZHAW School of Engineering, a Master of Science in Business and Economics, and a Bachelor of Arts in Business and Economics, all from the University of Basel.
