Bonnie Bertolaet

Bonnie Bertolaet currently serves as Executive Director of the Science Club for Girls, overseeing strategic planning, personnel management, and fundraising initiatives since January 2017. Previously, Bonnie held the position of Board Chair, where significant contributions included leading a comprehensive strategic plan focused on growth and fundraising, and successfully exceeding fundraising goals to support operational budgets. As Chair of the Development Committee, Bonnie played a key role in major fundraising events and maintained crucial donor relationships during organizational transitions. Bonnie's background includes serving as Project Leader for the Understanding Differences program at Del Mar Heights School and as a Research Scientist at Triad Therapeutics. Bonnie holds a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from Harvard University, along with postdoctoral fellowships in Cellular and Molecular Biology from Scripps Research and UC San Diego.
