Colin Angle

Colin Angle is the CEO and co-founder of Familiar Machines & Magic, a role they began in 2024. They previously served as chairman, CEO and co-founder of iRobot from 1990 to 2024, helping establish the home robot category with the Roomba. Their board roles include executive chairman of Robots in Service of the Environment from 2011 to 2024, board member at Ixcela, Inc. from 2013 to present, board member at Plug Power from 2024 to present, and Chairman of the Board of Directors at Science from Scientists since 2010. They earned a BS and MS degrees in EECS from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in the late 1980s, and completed an engineer internship at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory in 1989 where they designed behavior-controlled rovers for NASA that contributed to Sojourner's Mars exploration; they won the NASA Group Achievement Award and their name was inscribed inside the case of Spirit.
