Jasmeet Kaur Sahi

Public Programs Officer at Science Gallery International

Jasmeet Kaur Sahi is a Melbourne-based artsworker. Previously, she has worked for Melbourne Writers Festival to deliver the Melbourne version of the Jaipur Literature Festival, JLF Melbourne, for Asia TOPA 2017 and was at Footscray Community Arts Centre as a creative producer for two years.

She moved from India to Melbourne to study creative writing, publishing and editing at a master’s level at the University of Melbourne. She has written for the ABC, ArtsHub, Eureka Street, Southern Crossings, The Stella Prize and Peril Magazine and taught non-fiction writing at RMIT University. Her writing & work interests are in the arts, culture, food, feminism, social justice and politics. She uses these interests as a channel in her work both in events programming and writing/editing.

Her favourite things to do are getting hands in the soil, growing stuff, cooking and as would be obvious – BOOKS.
