Science History Institute
Mariel Carr is an experienced multimedia producer and journalist with a strong background in audio and video production. Since September 2013, Mariel has served as the Senior Producer for the Distillations Podcast at the Science History Institute, previously holding the title of Manager of Video and Podcast Production. Prior to this, Mariel was a Radio Production Fellow at KALW 91.7 and a Multimedia Journalist for Oaklandnorth.net. Additional experience includes working as a Documentary Production Assistant for PBS Frontline and as a Multimedia Photographer for Philadelphia Weekly. Mariel holds a Master’s degree in Journalism from the University of California, Berkeley, a Certificate in Documentary Photography from the Salt Institute for Documentary Studies, and a Bachelor's degree in Religion and Latin American Studies from Vassar College.
