Andrew Lawler is an accomplished author and freelance writer with extensive experience in science journalism. Since October 1994, Lawler has served as a contributing and senior writer for Science Magazine, focusing on science policy and archaeology across various regions including the Middle East and Central Asia. In addition, Lawler has been a contributing editor for Archaeology Magazine since October 2006 and has held senior writing positions at Times-Journal Company, covering national affairs related to space. Lawler’s editorial career began in the 1980s with Pasha Publications and The World Future Society. An alumnus of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, Lawler earned a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies and also studied abroad at Universitaet Freiburg in anthropology and political science.
