Director, Thermo Fisher Scientific Junior Innovators Challenge at Society for Science

Raevathi Ramadorai has a diverse work experience in various roles and organizations. Raevathi is currently serving as the Director of the Thermo Fisher Scientific Junior Innovators Challenge at the Society for Science, where they manage a national STEM research competition for middle school students in the US. In this role, they oversee outreach and communication to science fairs and educators, manages the application and evaluation processes, and plans and leads the Finals Week of the competition. Prior to this, Raevathi worked as a Program Manager for Broadcom MASTERS and as a Specialist in Science Education Programs at the Society for Science. Raevathi also has experience as a Project Officer/Program Analyst at Irving Burton Associates, a Peer-educator and Teaching Assistant at the University of Maryland, and as a Near-Peer Mentor and Research Intern at the Walter Reed Army Institute of Research.

Raevathi Ramadorai's education history begins in 2009 when they enrolled at the University of Maryland to pursue a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Physiology and Neurobiology. Raevathi successfully completed their undergraduate degree in 2013.

After obtaining their bachelor's degree, Raevathi continued their education at the University of Maryland. From 2017 to 2020, they pursued a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Curriculum and Instruction with a specialization in Science Education.

In addition to their academic achievements, Raevathi also obtained a certification in Project Management Professional (PMP) from the Project Management Institute in June 2015.
