Gaurav Kaushik is the founder, president, and COO at ScienceIO. Gaurav has also worked as a senior scientist at Imbed Biosciences Inc., where they led and managed two R&D projects with an emphasis on the development of an antimicrobial wound dressing with silver and lidocaine for treating painful wounds, and an antiviral solution containing silver nanoparticles (less than 5nm in size) for treating SARS-CoV2 and its variants. Gaurav also led the 510K regulatory submission for wound dressing to FDA, which is currently under review.
Prior to their work at Imbed Biosciences, Kaushik was a scientist at Stem Pharm, Inc. and a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where they established a human brain organoid model mimicking embryonic stages in the microfluidics device and used it for a high throughput toxicology screening. Gaurav also established a 3D vascular network using iPSC/hESC-derived endothelial cells embedded in synthetic PEG hydrogel in bioreactors and analyzed it with live imaging autofluorescence microscopy and confocal microscopy.
Kaushik has numerous publications to their name, including "Engineered Perineural Vascular Plexus for Modeling Developmental Toxicity" (Advanced Healthcare Materials 2020) and "Quantitative Label-free Imaging of Three-dimensional Vascular Networks Self-Assembled in
Gaurav Kaushik completed their Doctor of Philosophy at Idaho State University in the field of Biological and Biomedical Sciences. Gaurav then went on to earn their MS in Applied Biotechnology from University College Cork. Finally, they completed their Bachelors of Engineering in Biotechnology from Maharshi Dayanand University.
Their manager is Will Manidis, Founder & CEO. They work with Carolina Román-Salgado - Director, Product Engineering, Stan Miroshnikov - VP, Engineering, and Paul Ledbetter - Director, ML Engineering.
