Elke van Oudenhove

Elke Van Oudenhove, PhD, currently serves as a Scientist at Sciensano since July 2024. Prior roles include Director of Scientific Operations at Droia Labs from September 2022 to February 2024, where operational structures were established, and a laboratory was built from the ground up. From February 2020 to February 2024, Elke was a Scientific Analyst at Droia Ventures, focusing on scientific evaluations and due diligence in biotech investments. Earlier experience includes a Postdoctoral Fellowship at NYU Langone Health, where research concentrated on SWI/SNF dysfunction in small cell carcinoma, and a PhD from Cancer Research UK that involved genomic characterization in ovarian cancer. Earlier positions include Lab Technician at Ghent University and a Studentship at the Wellcome Trust Sanger Institute, both focusing on clinical data analysis related to genetic disorders. Academic credentials include a PhD in Medical Science from the University of Cambridge and a degree in Biomedical Laboratory Technology from HOGENT.
