Joan Baker Rpa D-Abfa

Joan Baker, PhD RPA D-ABFA, has extensive experience in forensic anthropology, technical writing, and scientific research, currently serving as a Functional Analyst and Technical Writer at Scientific Research Corporation since March 2020. Joan is also a Senior Principal Scientist at Global FAACTS LLC, focusing on developing training curricula in forensic anthropology and related fields. In addition, Joan contributes as an Editorial Board Member for the Journal of Forensic Identification and previously held roles such as a peer reviewer for the National Institute of Justice, Forensic Anthropologist for the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency, and key positions within various Department of Defense offices. Education includes a PhD from Texas A&M University, alongside master's and bachelor's degrees in physical and biological anthropology. Joan has also founded a public charity to support military families, demonstrating a commitment to community service.
