Daniel Fasel began their work experience in 2002 as a Lehrbeauftragter Berufschule Freiburg at EPAI Fribourg. From 2006 to 2008, they worked at Bernafon AG as a 3th level Software Support and Wirtschaftsinformatiker im Quality Management. Daniel then joined the University of Fribourg where they served as a Research Assistant (PhD Student) from 2008 to 2012 and later as a System Engineer from 2009 to 2011. In 2011, Daniel joined Swisscom as a BI Solution Architect until 2013, during which time they also worked as a Data Scientist. Since 2013, they have been the CEO of SCIGILITY. In 2016, they co-founded dashcom.ch and has been part of the company ever since.
Daniel Fasel completed their education in various institutions. Daniel began their academic journey at College St. Michel from 1997 to 2002, where they obtained their Matura degree. During this time, they focused on Biology and Chemistry, with Math Level 2 as their primary branch and Psychology and Pedagogy as their secondary branch.
After completing their Matura, Daniel enrolled at Université de Fribourg - Universität Freiburg. From 2002 to 2007, they pursued a Bachelor's degree in Information System Management. Following their undergraduate studies, they continued to advance their education at the same university and obtained a Master's degree in Information System Management from 2006 to 2007.
Daniel's educational journey culminated with their pursuit of a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Management Information Systems, General, from 2008 to 2012 at Université de Fribourg - Universität Freiburg.
In addition to their formal education, Daniel Fasel obtained a certification as a Microsoft Certified: Azure Data Engineer Associate from Microsoft in May 2023.
