Vasileios Kassiano

Vasileios Kassiano is an accomplished Data Engineer with extensive experience in data platform implementation and maintenance within the banking and energy sectors, currently employed at SCIGILITY. Prior to this role, Vasileios served as a Big Data Engineer/Developer at DRAXIS Environmental S.A., where expertise in developing data pipelines using Spark and Kafka was applied. Vasileios also held the position of Java Developer at the Centre for Research & Technology Hellas, focusing on biomedical and semantic data. Educational qualifications include a Ph.D. candidacy in Big Data Management and Analytics, a Master's degree in Computer Science, and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, all from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, supplemented by an Erasmus semester at the University of Groningen.
