Jim Kowalczyk

Jim Kowalczyk has worked in the scientific field since 1996. Jim began their career as a Scientist at Eisai Research Institute, where they designed two Clinical Candidates and one, E7974, that entered Phase I clinical trials. In 2006, Jim moved to Eisai Inc. as a Senior Scientist. From 2013 to 2017, Jim worked at Organix Inc. as a Senior Scientist 1 and Senior Scientist 2, where they were responsible for organic synthesis of small molecules for clients in the pharmaceutical industry. In 2017, Jim moved to Charles River Laboratories as a Research/Principal Scientist II, where they were responsible for bioanalytical chemistry and sample analysis by LC-MS/MS. In 2020, Jim joined Scilligence as a Manager of Presales Support, Senior Application Scientist, and Application Scientist. Additionally, Jim runs their own business, Kowalczyk Chemistry Consulting, where they provide scientific and chemistry consulting services in organic and medicinal chemistry.

Jim Kowalczyk holds a Ph.D. in Organic Chemistry from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, a NIH Postdoctoral Fellow in Organometallic Chemistry from the University of Utah, and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Chemistry and Russian from Washington University in St. Louis.
