Professor Avner Rotman served as Chairman of the Board at BiondVax until 2019. After an academic career at the Weizmann Institute of Science, Prof. Rotman founded Bio-Dar, a company specializing in controlled release Pharmaceuticals, Health and Nutrition, where he served as President and CEO for 15 years until the company was sold to the Machteshim-Agan/Lycored Group. In 2000 he founded Rodar Technologies, a company focused on technology transfer in the high tech industry, where he currently serves as CEO and Chairman of the Board. Prof. Rotman is a member of the steering committee of the Israeli Biotechnology Organization, and is extensively involved with Biotechnology incubators in Israel and with the Life Science business community. He is Founder and Chairman of the Foundation of Cardiovascular Research in Israel. Prof. Rotman received his PhD from the Weizmann Institute of Science, Israel.
