Matjaz Hren

Matjaz Hren has a diverse work experience in the field of scientific software and research. Matjaz has held the role of Vice President of Product Management at SciNote, where they oversee the development of free and user-friendly software for scientists. Matjaz is dedicated to creating a platform that allows safe data storage and sharing, as well as seamless integration with instruments and other software. Prior to this, Matjaz was the Head of R&D at BioSistemika, where they managed the development of software solutions for laboratory workflows. Matjaz also worked part-time as a researcher at CO BIK, focusing on bio-instrumentation and aptamer technology. Their earlier experience includes working at the National Institute of Biology, where they conducted research in diagnostic and gene expression technologies.

Matjaz Hren's education history begins with their completion of secondary education at Gimnazija Kozceje from 1992 to 1996. Matjaz then pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at the University of Ljubljana from 1996 to 2002. Following this, they continued their studies at the same university and obtained a PhD in Biotechnology, which they completed from 2003 to 2007. In 2008, Matjaz attended the IEDC - Bled School of Management and acquired a GMP degree in Management.
