Bert Cuypers

Bert Cuypers is an experienced professional in the field of information security and cybersecurity, currently serving as the adj Information Security Officer at SCK CEN since December 2019. Prior to this role, Bert worked at Nokia from December 2006 to May 2019, holding positions as CyberSecurity PM and in Customer Services. Bert's career also includes a significant tenure at Alcatel Telecommunications in Customer Services from June 1998 to November 2006, and a position as Junior Telecom Consultant at Assumption University from September 1995 to May 1998. Earlier in Bert's career, a role as MIS Assistant at the City of Menlo Park from July 1994 to February 1995 was undertaken. Bert holds a Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute, obtained in 2005, and has two master's degrees, one in Telecommunications from Vrije Universiteit Brussel (1991-1994) and another in Electronics (automation) from KU Leuven Faculty of Engineering Technology - Geel Campus (1987-1991).
