Pardoen Thomas

Pardoen Thomas is a professor at the École Polytechnique de Louvain and the Institute of Mechanics, Materials and Civil Engineering at UCLouvain. They served as the Head of the Institute of Mechanics, Materials and Civil Engineering from 2015 to 2021 and are currently the Vice-chair of the Board at the von Karman Institute for Fluid Dynamics. Pardoen is also a member of the WEL Research Institute and serves as the Rector's Advisor on relationships with the business world at UCLouvain, while holding various leadership roles in scientific advisory capacities. They earned a License in Philosophy, a degree in Civil Engineering Physics, and a PhD in Applied Sciences, as well as working as a postdoctoral researcher at Harvard University.
