Co-founder & CEO at Scope Zero

Lizzy Kolar has worked in various roles and companies throughout their career. Lizzy is currently the Co-Founder and CEO of Scope Zero, a position they began in 2022. Prior to that, they were a Climate Corps Fellow and Sustainability Manager at the Environmental Defense Fund in 2021. From 2020 to 2021, they served as a Producer, Writer, and Host for the podcast "It All Adds Up." Lizzy also worked as a Water Sustainability Consultant at Water Foundry during the same period. Lizzy founded The Resume Revival in 2015 and ran the company until 2021. Lizzy was a Microgrid Researcher at Stanford University in 2020 and was an Associate Project Engineer at Ameresco from 2018 to 2019. In 2017, they worked as a Renewable Energy Engineer at Energy For Opportunity and as an Operations Engineer at UBC Hospital - Mattru Jong. Finally, Lizzy was an Edison Engineering Development Program Member at GE Transportation from 2016 to 2017.

Lizzy Kolar has a Master of Science degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering with a focus on Sustainable Design and Construction from Stanford University. Lizzy also holds a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from West Virginia University. Additionally, Lizzy has studied Mechanical Engineering at Case Western Reserve University.
