Ed Wu

Ed Wu currently serves as President of Games at Scopely, leading the Niantic games team, which includes popular titles such as Pokémon GO, post-acquisition. Prior to joining Scopely in May 2025, Ed held the position of Senior Vice President for Pokémon GO at Niantic, Inc., overseeing the game's development and operations. Earlier experience includes serving as a Staff Software Engineer at Google, where contributions were made to the launch of the mobile game Ingress, as well as working as an Associate Physical Scientist at RAND and a Graduate Researcher at Stanford University. Ed Wu holds a PhD in Physics from Stanford University, an MBA from UC Berkeley, and a Master's in International Policy Studies from Stanford, alongside a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from UC San Diego.
