Roy Ooi

Roy Ooi has a diverse work experience spanning various engineering roles. Roy currently serves as the Head of Vehicle Development at Scorpio Electric since April 2023. Prior to this, they worked as an Engineering Lead at HOPE Technik from September 2021 to April 2023. From July 2019 to August 2021, they were a Principal Engineer at ST Engineering Land Systems, where they previously held roles as an Assistant Principal Engineer, Senior Design Engineer, and Design Engineer. Roy also worked as a Product Management Specialist at Schaeffler from December 2010 to April 2013 and as an Assistant Trainer at the Singapore Police Force from June 2005 to June 2007.

Roy Ooi has a diverse education history that spans different fields of study and institutions. In 2002, they enrolled at Singapore Polytechnic, where they pursued a degree in Mechanical Engineering. Roy completed their diploma in Mechanical Engineering in 2005, with a focus on Materials.

After their time at Singapore Polytechnic, Roy Ooi went on to pursue further education at the National University of Singapore. From 2007 to 2010, they studied Mechanical Engineering, specifically in the field of Automotive Engineering Technology. Upon completion of their studies, they obtained a degree in Mechanical and Mechanical Engineering.

In 2019, Roy Ooi attended the Kellogg Executive Education to further enhance their knowledge in Product Strategy. Roy completed the program in 2020, acquiring valuable skills in this area.

Aside from their formal education, Roy Ooi has also obtained several certifications to supplement their knowledge and skills. In March 2021, they obtained a certification in "Creating Your Personal Brand" from LinkedIn. In July 2021, they acquired a certification in "Systems Thinking" from the same institution. Prior to these certifications, in August 2020, Roy Ooi completed the "Ken Blanchard on Servant Leadership" certification, also offered by LinkedIn.
