David O'Kane has extensive experience in the banking sector, particularly in commercial real estate and lending. Currently serving as Managing Director of Real Estate Banking for Southwestern Ontario and the National Commercial Mortgage Group at Scotiabank since April 2016, O'Kane leads a specialized banking team focused on commercial real estate, land development, and construction. O'Kane's previous roles at Scotiabank included Director & Group Lead in Commercial Real Estate and Senior Client Relationship Manager. Prior to Scotiabank, O'Kane spent nearly 14 years at Meridian Credit Union, where responsibilities included leading a team of Commercial Loan Originators and holding various positions in commercial services and client relationship management. O'Kane holds a Bachelor of Arts in Honours Economics from Brock University, completed in 2006.
