Jaques Mester is a seasoned finance professional with extensive experience in leadership roles across prominent financial institutions. Currently serving as CFO at Scotiabank since April 2021, Jaques oversees accounting, reporting, financial planning and analysis, product control, taxes, and IT. Previously, Jaques held the positions of COO and CFO at ABN AMRO Bank Brazil, where involvement included establishing the bank's operations in Brazil. Additional experience includes project management for a global finance system at Rabobank Brazil, and leadership roles at The Royal Bank of Scotland and Banco Regional Paraguay, among others. Jaques holds an MBA in Finance from Ibmec and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics from Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro.
