Mark Buro, CPA, currently serves as the U.S. Head of Financial Reporting & Operational Accounting at Scotiabank since November 2021. In addition to this role, Mark has been a Professor of Accounting at St. John's University since January 2007. Prior to joining Scotiabank, Mark held the position of Chief Financial Officer at Scotia Capital (USA) Inc. from April 2018 to November 2021 and worked as a Director at Bank of America Merrill Lynch from June 2006 to April 2018. Earlier in Mark's career, positions included Manager at the National Futures Association and Senior Accountant in Futures & FX Product Control at Citigroup.
