Stephen Hudson

Stephen Hudson has significant experience in risk modeling and management, particularly in credit risk and stress testing. At Scotiabank, Stephen held the positions of Director and Senior Manager, where responsibilities included designing and implementing credit risk models for IFRS 9 provisioning and managing team members involved with international wholesale models. Prior to that, Stephen worked at The University of Western Ontario, initially as a Research & Teaching Assistant, where contributions included developing software for data analysis and co-authoring a paper accepted in Nature, and later as a Postdoctoral Fellow, focusing on the mechanical properties of fibers. Stephen holds a B.Sc. and a Ph.D. in Physics from The University of Western Ontario.
