Assistant Coach Scotland Rugby League at Scotland Rugby League Limited

Leigh Beattie is an experienced rugby coach currently serving as the Assistant 1st Team Coach and Player Development specialist for the Midland Hurricanes since June 2023. Having held multiple coaching roles, Leigh also serves as the Assistant Coach and U18s Head Coach for Scotland Rugby League Limited since April 2022. Previous coaching positions include Under 18s Head Coach at Bradford Bulls RLFC from August 2019 to June 2023, as well as Assistant 1st Team Coach and Head Coach for the U19s at Bradford Bulls from August 2016 to August 2019. Earlier experience includes serving as Equipment Manager for Bradford Bulls RLFC and England and Great Britain, as well as Head Coach for West Bowling. Leigh's career began with grounds maintenance for Bradford Bulls and significant logistical roles, illustrating a diverse and dedicated background in rugby management and coaching.

Scotland Rugby League is the governing body for rugby league and wheelchair rugby league in Scotland overseeing development and participation at all levels of the sport. We are currently 9th in the Men’s World Rankings (3rd in Europe) and Currently 6th in the Wheelchair World Rankings Our aim is to provide opportunities for people of all ages to take part in the game in Scotland while developing a strong competitive environment to support the development of our international players. As well as our senior Men's team we run Women's, Wheelchair, Students, Under 19 and Under 16 teams.
