Sean Masse

Sean Masse serves as the Chief Operating Officer at Scottie Resources Corp. since May 2025, where responsibilities include advancing operations for the Scottie Gold Mine Project in British Columbia's Golden Triangle. Previously, Sean held the position of General Manager at Hudbay Minerals Inc. for a brief period in 2024, and also at Newmont Corporation following its acquisition of Newcrest Mining in November 2023. From June 2021 to November 2023, Sean was the General Manager at Newcrest Mining, focusing on maximizing production in an efficient and responsible manner. Additionally, Sean contributed to the BC Ministry of Energy, Mines, and Low Carbon Innovation as a Health Safety & Reclamation Code Committee Member from September 2021 to September 2024. Educational qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree in Applied Science with a Minor in Commerce from The University of British Columbia and a Master's Certificate in Project Management from the University of Victoria.
