Sue Brunton

Sue Brunton serves as the Chief Executive Officer at Scottish Adoption & Fostering since March 2022. Prior experience includes serving as the Assistant Head of Business Family Placement Scotland at Barnardo's from August 2017 to March 2022, where Sue contributed to excellent fostering and adoption services for children and young people. Sue has also held roles such as Permanence Consultant at the Centre for Excellence for Looked After Children in Scotland, and an Independent Social Worker on a freelance basis. Additional experience encompasses leadership positions at the British Association for Adoption & Fostering and various roles within local authorities, focusing on child protection and adoption services. Sue holds a BA in Applied Social Studies, a Post Graduate Certificate in Leadership in Social Services, and a Certificate in Child Protection.
