Malcolm Cameron has a strong background in digital operations and transformation. Malcolm has served as the Head of Digital and Technical Operations at Scottish Enterprise since July 2019. Prior to that, they worked as a Programme Manager for Digital Transformation at the Digital Office Scottish Local Government from July 2017 to June 2019. Malcolm also has extensive experience in various roles at Angus Council, including Programme Lead, Service Manager, Senior Infrastructure Engineer, Communications Coordinator, and Systems Analyst. Malcolm began their career as an Analyst/Programmer at Valentines of Dundee and also worked as a Programmer at Prudential Financial.

Malcolm Cameron obtained a BSc (Hons) degree in Electronics & Microcomputer Systems from the University of Dundee between 1984 and 1990. In 2015, they enrolled at Queen Margaret University and pursued a degree in Public Service Leadership, which they completed in 2020. In terms of certifications, Malcolm became a Chartered Engineer with the Engineering Council in 2018. Malcolm also obtained several other certifications, including Agile Project Management from APMG International in 2018, MSP Practitioner in Programme Management from QA Ltd in August 2014, ITIL v3 from APM Group in 2008, and Prince2 Registered Practitioner from APM Group in September 2007.
