Neil Mapes

Neil Mapes is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in leadership and advocacy within the social sector. Currently serving as a Non Executive Director for the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service since December 2023, Neil also provides 1:1 leadership support and mentoring at 4HQ and holds the position of Honorary Research Fellow at the University of Worcester. Previously, Neil was the Chief Operations Officer at Green Hive and CEO of Dementia Adventure, a charity dedicated to enhancing the lives of individuals living with dementia. With a strong background in charity governance, mental health advocacy, and income generation, Neil has contributed significantly to various organizations, including as a Board Trustee for the Postcode Innovation Trust and as a Senior Dementia Advocate at Alzheimer's Concern Ealing. Neil holds a BSc (Hons) in Human Psychology from Aston University, and has experience as a professional trainer and consultant focused on improving the lives of older adults.
