Stewart Nicholson

Stewart Nicholson is currently serving as Deputy Chief Fire Officer at Tyne & Wear Fire & Rescue Service since October 2023. Prior to this role, Stewart held the position of Head of Service Delivery for the East of Scotland at Scottish Fire and Rescue Service from November 2021. With a career spanning over two decades, Stewart started as a Firefighter at North Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service in September 1994, eventually becoming a Fire Officer at South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue. Stewart holds a Master's degree in Crisis/Emergency/Disaster Management from Coventry University, which was completed from 2014 to 2017.Overall, Stewart has shown dedication and commitment to the firefighting profession throughout his career.
