James Harrison

James Harrison is an experienced professional in higher education policy and strategy, currently serving as Assistant Director Policy at the Scottish Funding Council since November 2022. Previously, James held various roles, including Lead Policy Officer at the Quality Assurance Agency for Higher Education, where responsibilities included managing sector-wide committees and responding to government consultations. James also contributed to student transition initiatives and policy development at Universities Scotland as a Policy Officer, and served as President and Vice President at the Glasgow University Students' Representative Council. James attained a MA in Social Sciences with a focus on Politics from the University of Glasgow.
