Calum Dundas has over a decade of experience in data governance and strategy within Police Scotland, currently serving as Deputy Chief Data Officer since July 2010. In this role, Calum leads data governance and strategy services, ensuring the effective use of data to enhance public safety. Previous positions include Head of Data Strategy, where Calum developed business data strategy aligning with organizational goals, and Data Governance Lead, responsible for implementing best practices in data management. Calum has also led the Data Management Service, supporting Assistant Chief Constables in managing national information assets, and served as Senior Data Manager overseeing forensic and personal data quality. Prior to joining Police Scotland, Calum was Audit Compliance Manager at the Scottish Police Services Authority, overseeing compliance processes within the Criminal Justice Department. Calum holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Strategic Leadership from the University of Stirling, a Professional Development Award in Organisational Ethics and Decision Making from the Chartered Management Institute, and a Bachelor of Science in Media Technology from the University of Paisley.
