John Walker

John Walker has extensive experience in financial and internal assurance roles, currently serving as Head of Internal Assurance at ScottishPower since February 2016. Previously held positions at ScottishPower include Group Accounting Manager, Senior Project Accountant, and Group Financial Accountant. Prior to this, John worked at BDO as an Audit Senior, developing expertise in various sectors including manufacturing and not-for-profit. Early career experience includes a role as Support Manager at Pizza Hut and serving as an Officer Cadet in the Royal Air Force. John holds two MBA degrees in Global Energy Industry from the University of Strathclyde and Universidad Pontificia Comillas, and a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and Economics from the University of Strathclyde, alongside qualifications from ICAS.
