Michael McGarrity

Michael McGarrity has a diverse work experience spanning over two decades. Michael began their career at BAE Systems as an Electrical Engineer and later assumed the role of Electrical Leading Hand. Michael then transitioned into an Electrical Design Engineer position, where they worked until 2014. In 2014, McGarrity joined National Oilwell Varco as an Electrical and Controls Engineer, eventually progressing to the role of Senior Electrical & Controls Engineer. In 2021, they moved to ScottishPower, initially serving as a Senior Control and Instrumentation Engineer before being promoted to Lead Engineer in February 2023.

Michael McGarrity completed their Engineer's Degree in Electrical Power from Glasgow Caledonian University from 2011 to 2014.
