Head Of Humanities, Care & Services at SQA – Scottish Qualifications Authority

Iain Morrison has a diverse range of work experience spanning over two decades. Iain began their career as a Science Teacher at Guilford County Schools from 1997 to 2000. Iain then worked as a Chemistry Teacher at The High School of Glasgow from 2000 to 2004. Following that, they served as the Head of Chemistry at Craigholme School from 2004 to 2011. Iain then transitioned to Lomond School, where they worked as an Academic Depute from 2011 to 2014. Afterward, they took on the role of Head of Faculty of Science & Mathematics at Craigholme School from 2014 to 2016. In 2016, they joined Beaconhurst School as the Deputy Head - Academic, a position they held until 2018. Currently, they are employed at SQA - Scottish Qualifications Authority, first as a Qualifications Manager - Chemistry from 2018 to 2021, and then as the Head of Humanities, Care & Services starting from September 2021.

Iain Morrison obtained a Bachelor of Laws (LLB) degree in Law from the University of Strathclyde between 2000 and 2005. Additionally, they pursued a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Biology, General at Queen's University, although the duration of this education is unknown.
