Gerry Devine

Head Of Stadium Operations at Scottish Rugby Union

Gerry Devine has a range of experience in the field of safety, security, and operations management. Gerry started their career with Focus Public Safety as the Royal Highland Show Nightshift Public Safety Manager from June 2018 to July 2021. Gerry then joined Scottish Rugby as the Deputy Safety Officer in May 2017 and later took on the role of Health Safety and Security Manager from January 2023 to April 2023. Currently, they serve as the Head of Stadium Operations. Prior to Scottish Rugby, Gerry worked at Glasgow Life, where they held various roles such as Event Safety and Security Manager, Safety Security & Medical Team Manager for the UCI Cycling World Championships, and Assistant Cluster Manager and Event and Spectator Safety Officer. Gerry was with Glasgow Life from September 2012 to November 2019.

Gerry Devine attended Holyrood Secondary from 1990 to 1994, but no degree or field of study was specified. In terms of additional certifications, Gerry obtained an NVQ Level 4 in Spectator Safety Management from the Emergency Planning College (The EPC) in October 2018. Gerry also obtained a Higher Professional Diploma in Sport and Recreation Management from the Chartered Institute for the Management of Sport and Physical Activity (CIMPSA), although the specific month and year of obtaining this diploma were not provided.
