Head Of Game Development at Scottish Rugby Union

Neil Graham has a diverse work experience in the field of rugby development and training. Neil has held various roles at Scottish Rugby, starting as a Coach Development Officer in 2008. Neil then progressed to become the Coach Development Manager, where they were responsible for leading coach education activities throughout Scotland. Neil later served as the Training and Education Manager, overseeing all training and education activities within domestic rugby. Additionally, they worked as the Head of Training and Education, leading the training and education strategy within Rugby Development. Currently, Neil is the Head of Game Development at Scottish Rugby, where they are responsible for the strategic development of coaches, match officials, and volunteers in the community game. Prior to their roles at Scottish Rugby, Neil served as a Professional Development Manager at Northumbria University, managing the student scholarship scheme and coordinating various programs in collaboration with other universities and organizations.

Neil Graham completed their education at various institutions. Neil attended Berwick High School from 1995 to 2002, where they studied Sports Studies. Following that, they enrolled at Northumbria University and pursued a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Sport Development and Coaching from 2002 to 2005. Neil continued their education at the same university and obtained a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Sport Management from 2006 to 2009. In addition to their degrees, Neil also obtained a certification as a Master Trainer from World Rugby in January 2010.
