Dave Mealand

Dave Mealand has over two decades of experience in the aquaculture industry, currently serving as the Fish Farm Manager at Scottish Sea Farms since 2000. In this role, Dave oversees two high tidal sea sites in the Sound of Mull, managing a team of seven staff to achieve a production of 3,500 tons of top-quality salmon per cycle. Dave successfully transformed the sites from a history of high mortality and low profitability into effective business units. Previously, from 2007 to 2008, Dave was involved in the acquisition of a bankrupt fish farm company in Kirkwall, Orkney, where only two out of six viable high tidal sea sites were operational.
