Programming Director at Scottsdale Arts

Abbey Messmer serves as the Programming Director and Interim Director of Performing Arts at Scottsdale Center for the Performing Arts since October 2017, with a long-standing role as Programming Manager at Scottsdale Arts since October 2002, where responsibilities include programming national and local acts as well as managing daily operations of the programming department and staff. Additionally, Abbey has been a Visual Artist at The Lodge Art Studio since May 2002, specializing in large-scale oil on canvas and recognized with the Phoenix Art Museum 2015 Contemporary Forum artist grant. Abbey holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Drawing and Painting from the University of North Texas, awarded in 2001.
