Daniel J. Thrash

Daniel J. Thrash has a diverse work experience in the automotive industry. Daniel J. started their career at Sherman & Reilly, Inc as an Operations Engineer in 2014. In 2015, they worked as a Vehicle Dynamics Engineer at General Motors. After that, they transitioned to the role of AVD Chassis Systems Engineer at General Motors, where they worked on various projects such as analyzing mass and cost changes for Chevy Cruze, creating modified brake corner components, and performing a shock travel study for Cadillac ATS MR dampers. In 2016, Daniel briefly worked as a Full-size Truck Development Engineer at General Motors before joining Volkswagen of America, Inc as a Material Cost Specialist. At Volkswagen, they later became a Technical Assistant to the COO before leaving in 2023. Currently, they hold the position of a Product Line Controlling Manager at Scout Motors Inc.

Daniel J. Thrash completed their International Baccalaureate & Advanced Placement Coursework at Douglas County High School from 2008 to 2012. Following this, they attended Georgia Southern University from 2012 to 2014, where they participated in the Regent's Engineering Transfer Program, focusing on Mechanical Engineering. Daniel J. then transferred to Georgia Institute of Technology from 2014 to 2017, where they earned their Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering.
