Matthew Baran

Matthew Baran has extensive experience in hotel management, currently serving as General Manager at the Hilton Garden Inn Merrillville under Hersha Hospitality Management since February 2022. Previously, Baran held various management roles at White Lodging Services from June 2016 to February 2022, progressing from Housekeeping Manager to General Manager. Additional experience includes a role as Housekeeping Manager at Marriott International and positions in project management and housekeeping at National Facility Services and Ameristar Casino. Baran also worked as a Trainer at Cardinal Fitness and a Strength and Conditioning Coach for Munster Hockey Organization. Educational credentials include a Master's of Science in Performance Enhancement and Injury Prevention and a Bachelor's of Science in Sport Management: Fitness and Wellness from PennWest California, as well as an Associate degree in Fitness and Nutrition from Purdue University Northwest.
